Training Attributes that Account for High Training Quality Ratings: Training Setting

In the 604 trainings provided by seven Cooperative Agreement projects (6,638 trainees), trainees rated their immediate post-training reactions to the training on three scales – trainer knowledge, training quality, usefulness. Ratings on these scales were highly correlated, and a reliable composite score was formed (with an internal consistency of .84). The average training quality rating was 4.30 (s.d. = .35) on a scale from "poor" (1) to "excellent" (5). The 604 trainings were, on average, perceived as between very good and excellent. Training setting was significantly related to perceived training quality.
