| Main Purpose |
The purpose of this module is to assess quality of life. |
| Description |
- Subjective indicator of self-perceived satisfaction in the past week with domain areas
including feeling healthy, enjoying life, being able to take care of household duties,
being satisfied with use of leisure time, enjoying friends and family, and feeling
positive about quality of life.
- General domains for this module were developed from domains identified in: (1) Endicott,
J., Nee, J., Harrison, W., and Blumenthal, R. (1993). Quality of life enjoyment and
satisfaction questionnaire: A new measure. Psychopharmacology Bulletin, 9, 321-326;
and (2) Padilla, G. V., Ferrell, B., Grant, M. M., and Rhiner, M. (1990). Defining the
content domain of quality of life for cancer patients with pain. Cancer Nursing, 13,
108-115.
- The module uses a "ladder" format to help the individual identify which
response option best applies for each item.
