| Main Purpose |
The purpose of this module is to develop a method for
rating the cohesiveness of provider networks in a given services catchment
area. By allowing agencies to rate their willingness to work with one
another, natural coalitions can be identified. |
| Description |
- The Cohesiveness Girds are customized
for each project by substituting the names of agencies in the
potential provider network.
- One or more persons from each agency
rates the other agencies on several dimensions.
- Multidimensional scaling with cluster
analysis is used to determine a "map" of the provider
agencies based on their willingness to work together and provide
cross-referrals.
- Administered in 3-5 minutes at Coalition
or other group meetings.
- Self administered.
|
| Target Projects for Form |
- Any project seeking to change the overall infrastructure in its catchment area regarding
services for one or more target groups.
|
| Major Evaluation Function |
- Documenting change in the way that agencies in a particular catchment area view one
another. Maps of providers are compared at different times using
replicated multidimensional scaling techniques to document ships in
networks.
