Brief Summary of Evaluation Projects
Funded by the Since 1988, The Measurement Group has actively participated in a number of major evaluations and related management studies including the following projects: · Evaluation of a comprehensive residential substance abuse treatment program for women and their children, provided by PROTOTYPES, funded by the SAMSHA Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (2006-2009) · Evaluation of a substance abuse and mental health treatment program for homeless persons in greater Los Angeles provided by a collaborative led by Homeless Healthcare Los Angeles and PROTOTYPES, funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT) through the "Treatment for the Homeless" Initiative. (2005-2010) · Evaluation of a substance abuse treatment program for adolescents in greater Los Angeles provided by PROTOTYPES, funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT) through the "Effective Adolescent Treatment" Initiative. (2003-2007) · Evaluation of a program to improve access to and retention in substance abuse treatment in greater Los Angeles provided by PROTOTYPES, funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT) through the "Strengthening Treatment Access and Retention" Initiative. (2003-2007) · Evaluation of substance abuse and HIV services for women and their families in Ventura, California, provided by PROTOTYPES, funded by the SAMHSA Center for Substance Abuse Treatment. (2001-2006) · Evaluation of an outpatient substance abuse treatment program provided by the Alcoholism Center for Women to expand service capacity for substance abusing women at risk for HIV infection, funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT). (2000-2003) · Evaluation of a day treatment program for women dually diagnosed with substance abuse and HIV/AIDS at PROTOTYPES WomensLink in Inglewood, California, funded by SAMHSA/CSAT. (1999-2002) · Evaluation of a substance abuse treatment readiness drop-in program for women in downtown Los Angeles provided by PROTOTYPES, funded by SAMHSA/CSAT. (1999-2002) · Evaluation, statistical analysis, report writing and psychological testing in a three-year project and a subsequent five-year study of Moms & Kids Drug and Alcohol Residential Treatment/Prevention at PROTOTYPES Women's Center in Pomona, California, funded by SAMHSA/CSAT. (1990-1997) · Evaluation of an outreach program for substance abusing women which prepares clients for entering drug treatment based on a stages-of-change model. Services provided by PROTOTYPES in Los Angeles, funded by SAMHSA/CSAT. (1995-1998) · Evaluation, statistical analysis, report writing, and psychological testing in a three-year study of rural adolescent drug and alcohol treatment and prevention in frontier areas of Northern California, funded by SAMHSA/CSAT. (1994-1997) · Evaluation, statistical analysis, and report preparation for multi-year street outreach programs to reduce HIV infection and transmission among women throughout Los Angeles County conducted by PROTOTYPES; funded by SAMHSA/CSAT, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the State of California, and Los Angeles County. (Since 1989, ongoing) · Evaluation, statistical analysis, and report preparation for a street outreach program to reduce HIV infection and transmission throughout Ventura County, funded by SAMHSA/CSAT. (1993-1996) · Evaluation, statistical analysis, and report preparation for a five-year program in Hollywood to reduce HIV infection and transmission and increase medical and drug abuse services for street youth, funded by SAMHSA/CSAT.
